How did I get into Physical Therapy?: Obviously growing up in India you have 2 options either an Engineer or a Doctor, I chose to become a Doctor but in the process becoming a Medical Doctor seemed daunting so the next best thing was Physical therapy. My parents and brothers helped me to figure out this process and supported me financially for which I am forever grateful.
Gained Exercise, health, and wellness knowledge from schooling and working as a Physical therapist in India and USA.
My journey in the USA: The Key to my success is getting the opportunity to complete the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at the University of Utah. I dedicated four years to meeting the international student requirement to successfully complete my PT degree. The hardest part was dealing with cultural shock, required to take 16 credit hours of courses every semester. I am forever grateful to all my professors and friends that helped me get through this hardest part of the early years of my journey in the USA. While in school I used the university gym facility and swimming facility to transform myself to the best of my physical health and abilities along with my professional skills. The next challenging part was Getting the license, getting married, and starting working under a lot of pressure in corporate culture.
YouTube channels or books from these authors helped me expand my spiritual and emotional well-being knowledge:
